The detection is based on the monoclonal antibodies specific for the nucleoprotein of either Adenovirus. It is intended to aid in the rapid diagnosis of Adenovirus infection. Negative results do not preclude Adenovirus infection and should not be used as the sole basis for treatment or for other management decisions. Negative results should be confirmed by viral culture or Adenovirus molecular assay.</span></span></p>
